South East Scotland Fuchsia Society

A friendly group of fuchsia enthusiasts

About Us

The South East of Scotland Fuchsia Society is a growing group of people who love fuchsias.  Our members range from experienced growers and showers to complete beginners.

We have our meetings in Kings Park Pavilion, Kings Park, Eskbank Road, Dalkeith on the last Tuesday of the month in October, November and January through to April.  Our meetings consist of a varied programme - from fuchsia specialists to slide shows, any gardening related topics, discussions and hands on workshops from our own experienced members.  You will get an opportunity to discuss any fuchsia problems or seek out useful information with our members over a cup of tea and home baking at the end of the meetings.  There is also a sales table offering horticultural products at reasonable prices.

Members will also receive a free fuchsia which they can grow on to enter into a special class at our show held in September in conjunction with Dalkeith Horticultural Society at Dalkeith High School Campus.

We have an annual bus outing for our members to stock up on those vital fuchsia plants.

For the last few years we have had an exhibitor's stand at Gardening Scotland at Ingilston Show Ground on the outskirts of Edinburgh.  We have been very successful in winning medals for our exhibit.  Our experts on the stand will be willing to help you with any advice relating to fuchsias.  If you are there this year pop along to our stand for a friendly chat and become a member at only £5. Alternatively you can download a membership form.
